§ 710.050. Permit Required For Connection or Other Work.

No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connection with or opening into, use, alter or disturb any public sewer, sewer main or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a written permit from the Superintendent. In the event it becomes necessary to disconnect a building sewer lateral from the public sewer system, such disconnected lateral must be capped so as to prevent any discharge therefrom. Such disconnected sewer lateral shall be disconnected and capped under the supervision of the Superintendent and shall be capped at such location as directed by the Superintendent. The cost of disconnecting and capping any such sewer lateral shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
