§ 225.080. Operation of Motor Vehicles in City Parks.

  • A. 
    No person shall drive or operate any motor vehicle upon any walkway or other area, paved or grass, except the paved road or parking areas.
    B. 
    It shall be unlawful to operate any motor vehicle, except official emergency vehicles, in City Parks at any time that a Park is closed.
    C. 
    For purposes of this Section, the Parks are closed during such hours daily as the Board of Aldermen shall from time to time determine and at such other times as the Board of Aldermen shall designate.
    D. 
    For purposes of this Section, a "motor vehicle" shall include any vehicle which is propelled by an engine of any type, whether or not such vehicle is licensed or unlicensed.
    E. 
    Any person who violates any provision of this Section shall be subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00). Any vehicle operated in violation of this Section shall be subject to being towed away. Prior to any vehicle which is towed away being returned to the owner, all expenses incurred in towing and storing such vehicle must first be paid.
